Running with a bunion might be uncomfortable and cause problems with footwear but is feasible if the pain and stiffness aren't too severe. Running the day after bunion surgery is unlikely to be running by any definition.

I’ve been missing a trick there, if walking a mile counts towards a run streak I should have many more streaking badges by now! ;)

Is there anything stopping recording a walk as a run? Not that I will but there is big variety of paces recorded. Does fetch default to recording a walk if you are say 20 min miling.

I don’t think the site will stop you but my conscience would stop me.

I’m allowing myself run/walk though as, to me, that is totally different to just walking.

Just your own sense of fairness and also not wanting to be That Person on a website with a community feel where many of us know one another. But yes, you could even just put in a run manually and claim a Garmin glitch when you'd been on the sofa all day.

I do record a run walk where walking is short walk breaks but could never do a walk and claim it as a run. Some of my runs with Mam make my pace look very bad but we are running more than walking.

The stiffness in my calf is crazy up and walking about fine when I got up, sat down working stand up and it goes crazy. I might have to reassess this challenge.

Any tips for easing it?

I ran with 2 bunions right up until I had them both operated on at the same time it is perfectly possible but uncomfortable, it was definitely running!

My last run a couple of days before surgery was a parkrun, average pace 7:42.

They’re reluctant to operate on them now I believe. I can run and indeed getting quicker these days just I sometimes find myself running slightly different if it’s having a painful few days.
