Gimme, that’s my view too - better to live to run another day, however far, than to push for a silly virtual badge and completely banjax your chances of running at all (in your case), or end up dreading/resenting every run (in my case).

Well I've decided tomorrow's run needs to have a purpose So I've plotted a route to a fab French bakery across town - I'll run with my rucksack, pick up some bread, run home, drop it off, which is 7km more or less, have a quick cuppa, and finish off the 3km around the 'hood. I feel a lot better about the whole thing now I've made that plan

That sounds good LD. My run tomorrow is with Shondo so I need to find out if she is happy for 10k or will I do a couple in the morning. Went to PT so did a good few stretches

I’m going to treat myself to a little drive to a big woodland tomorrow (hopefully the dog walkers will have left a space) and have pootle around there. I can do the whole distance without having to go near a road. I’ll also reclaim some zones for my lawn that have just dropped off. I can’t believe I last went there over a year ago!

Sorry to hear of the withdrawals - there's always another month.
It's dry here now, so I'm going to see if I can get out and back before it gets dark.

Not even a streak keeper Tikka? 50 times round the back garden? No? You're far more sensible than me and probably much less OCD.
I went for a run round some very quiet very dark roads. The main road nearby is blocked due to gas works so all the traffic is diverted away. I took a steady hour over 6 miles and amused myself counting houses who had their Christmas lights up already. Even saw one with a the Xmas tree up! Run out of things to do in lockdown?

GH, the street I usually run round early in the morning ( I know I’m safe ) has had its tree up for a few days and they must leave it on all night,. It makes me smile at 5.45am

Groundhog, I'm still in - but I'm reserving the right to back out at any stage, guilt-free. I run every day anyway, that's not the issue, the issue is that I might not feel like running as far as required and if that's the case, so be it. I already have the badge as I did it in September and October.
