It's pouring out there and marking assignments is looking more attractive than running 9k right now ...

I would have struggled a lot more with lockdown and the loss of club running and races without Fetch, that's for sure. OM - I'm older than you so I must be even more bonkers to do this for a virtual badge

I'm bowing out this month, my left shin and ankle are in too much pain - had it strapped up and split today's run and slowed the pace but just can't face the rest of the month.
Good luck to the remaining runners this month!

I'm still in for the third month in a row, but more by default than design - ie, the required distances so far are pretty much what I would be running anyway. But I know that won't be the case as the month progresses so I need to back out now, as experience tells me that the nearer to the end of the month I get, the less I will want to let myself quit, and I'll end up dreading and hating every run instead of looking forward to it because I'm so sick of the challenge. I'd reached that stage by the end of the second month and really don't want to go there again.

Sorry to read that SusiSue and Tikka - but you know what's best for you
Can somebody please send some inviting weather in this direction - it's been hosing it down and blowing a hoolie all morning and not looking like stopping anytime soon. Nine miles after work in the dark on these lanes is unappealing enough without them being flooded too.

I’m just going to play it by feel from this point on - if I fall short of the required mileage one day, I’m not going to stress about it.

And I'm the 3rd withdrawal of the day - my calf and achilles tightened up again today at 1km so instead of pushing through, I cut my run short and have decided that another 7km today and 10 tomorrow is more likely to harm than cure, so regretfully I'm out too. I wonder if Fetch has any stats to show which day of the month is the one that most people pull out of RtS. I am going to continue with my running streak as a bit of running each day seemed to help.

I may or may not be the 4th although I will run some thing tomorrow to get my 50 days. My job today has had me sitting for five hours and with no proper stretch this morning my legs have seized up big time. I have a PT this afternoon so will see how that goes
