Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

[Thanks for all your kind words. Miss J is a little under the weather, but otherwise fine. It's quite good timing for her, as due to there being a couple of cases in her year at school they have sent the entire year group home for two weeks. Mrs J is feeling a bit 'viral', and spent most of yesterday in bed. She went for a test today. I seem to be okay so far...]

I hope your calf is better tomorrow GM, my calf is my Achilles heel at the moment (so to speak :) ), thankfully it’s behaving at the moment *touches wood*.

Both runs today a real slog, I wish I knew when they were so much harder then my weekend runs. My legs are fine - my legs were pretty keen to get going - but I just felt I was struggling to get enough air in today. :(

I was hoping for a nice gentle 8k today but the club relay baton needing retrieving to somewhere a bit more accessible for people, and as I happen to live closest to the country park where he'd been hidden I felt obliged to go and get him. I turned my Garmin off at 8.68km as I still had another kilometre to walk back to the car and I couldn't face running it.

Phew, today’s run better than yesterday’s. It helped that I went for a trail run so I’m forced to slow down and walk more.

I had to split today's run. Tight calf and achilles from 1k so I muddled round 5.3k and will do the rest in a little while after stretching my damned calf.

It worked, Frag - no tight calf for the later run 👍
