Big news ahead of the new season, although I can't help thinking showing Wigan the week before the world club challenge might be a bit of a damp squib.

No, this is instead of C4. The C4 coverage was excellent but suffered a bit from the random timeslots.

Normally I’m quite excited for the start of the season. But I’m finding it hard to generate enthusiasm as I foresee a season of struggle for FC. It doesn’t help we kick off with a Derby. Although the good people of Hull clearly don’t share my pessimism as 17500 tickets have been sold.

I think I’m more excited to see Trinity in the championship.

Trinity will stroll through the championship this year. Great to see the positivity there though and the big new stand after decades of waiting for progress on the ground.

Hull derby to open the season could be interesting - Rervers haven't exactly looked good in pre-season either.

A start - and a great one too. Belle Vue is now starting to live up to its name.

Countless Sunday afternoons spent, often in challenging Yorkshire weather on the open terrace behind the sticks, in the shadow of St Catherine's Church. Occasionally, a result would suggest divine intervention...but not very often. ;)

Salford are gonna struggle this year. Makes me feel bit nervous. I might take few more Swinton games - they play pretty close to where i live.

In a search for info about The 1895 Cup, I found out that Trinity will be travelling NE to meet Newcastle Thunder this Sunday in the group stages. Fresh fields, new faces, more football... :)

About This Thread

Maintained by Cerrertonia
As suggested on the blog of the esteemed @kev-eats-owt this is a place to discuss all things relating to rugby league. The Superleague season kicks off this weekend, the NRL in early March and hopefully we have a world cup to look forward to in the Autumn.
