There’s lots of rumours in Hull that FC are in financial trouble. The pandemic hit them hard and there are loans to repay in 24. Never very sure if it’s stirring from the East of the river or real problems . The recruitment this summer hasn’t really set the world on fire. it’s mainly quota players with a point to prove so could be a good gamble or equally a disaster.

Very enjoyable day out at the England v Tonga game today. Unbeknown to me, over 500 children and volunteers from my old junior club were there to carry the England and Tonga flags.

Biggest defeat in Australia's history - 30-0 to NZ in the Pacific Championship Final. Not that you'd know from the BBC website, which doesn't even have the score, let alone a match report.
