Well done to team Flinky for the finish. Pity about the medal but the important bit is that we know you did it.

ogee - you won the V40 category of the trail running champs! At least, that's what I've been led to believe. Automatic entry as far as I know. Huge thanks for looking after me on the train yesterday too. I felt ok once I got into the fresh air and could move around. Feeling a bit spacey and nauseous today intermittently though.

No worries Anna, you did make me a little nervous at one point but glad you're a bit better today.
Mmm didn't even realise I was in it so very glad to have won it. Go me:)

go you
Thanks for all the kind words. I'm disappointed not to have got a medal, but pleased that I had the mental strength to hobble 40-odd miles at snail's pace rather than DNF. After hitting halfway in about 9 hours we were both hoping for a good finish time, which made it even more annoying!
I'm even more disappointed for kinky as she had the option to go on and finish well but chose to stay with me. After 2 dodgy knees at the last two big ones costing us finishes (officially at least - we class this as a finish!) we're both hoping for a strong run to the end next time out.
Apart from slightly bruised and tingly feet and a very sore knee & cruciate, I'm not feeling too bad today, although the hunger is starting to kick in
Well done to everyone else who took part, there were some fantastic results from the Fetch contingent.
Anna - having hobbled 40 miles to finish I'm even more impressed than ever with your walk to the finish for the GUCR. That must have taken some mental strength!

Sore and about to go down my stairs to take the dog out (how long this is going to take is anyone's guess--I'm on the third floor), but I just wanted to say a very well done to everyone.
Flanker--the mental strength to do a slow 40 miles is bloody amazing. I'm sure I would have thrown in the towel! Hats off to you (and to kinky for sticking with you--that's real teamwork). A medal doesn't mean as much as having had the experience.

Amazing running & in one way it's a shame you cannot vote Kinky for MOTM (again)

I don't understand why Flanker has never been MOTM!

Paddy...
Well done to everyone who took part this weekend, you all look so fresh at Bury Down where I was with Dick and Co. The hotdogs went down really well, not sure if they stayed there though, we even had a taker for our stash of pickled eggs.....sure he was just trying to impress his mates Ogee, finally worked out who you were on here after you had gone, good luck on your last big run of the year. Make sure you all enjoy your well earned rest.
