What you’re saying is you agree with their politics but no one could say Hilary, senile Joe and Kamala are in any way decent candidates and compelling advocates for those policies in the way say Obama was. Hilary lost to Trump, and you can’t get more inept, uninspiring and incompetent as a politician than that. |

In what sense are Kamala Harris and Hilary Clinton "slim pickings". They are intelligent, hugely experienced professionals and politicians. They are excellent candidates. And Joe Biden was a great public servant and only recently (last 2 years?) has he had cognitive difficulties. Physical fitness should have no bearing. |

Comparing others to him is a little unfair. Let's take a look at the Republicans put up for election since Reagan (a good communicator until he went senile, but as right wing as they come), George HW, Bob Dole, George W x2, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Donald Trump, Donald Trump and Donald Trump..... |

Yeah I don't get how the candidates are the issue. The fact anyone thinks Trump was better than Hilary Clinton, is a reflection on them.

I'm not sure it matters much who the American president is. I mean, they clearly haven't had a functioning brain in charge for the last few months / maybe years (we're all quite sure Biden is not competent to run for 4 more years but in what way does that mean he's competent now?) and everything still appears to run as normal. And changing to Trump or Harris won't make a difference to the forever wars, the choice is whether you like your genocide with a rainbow flag or a MAGA hat.

Obama was also a disappointing politician who didn't do as much in two terms as Biden did in one.

No TRO while it’s true that I prefer their politics over the opposition, they are all broadly speaking adequate politicians. I don’t expect perfection and brilliant leaders bring their own risks. You don’t get to be candidate without doing stuff that is going to cause controversy and make enemies and I have little time for people who get all sanctimonious about <one bad thing a politician did> (not accusing you of this but there’s a lot of it about). When a politician does a lot of bad things and is generally disappointing, of course that’s another matter. What has Harris done in particular to disappoint you? |
