Could apply it to UK politics:

Is the country fed up with incumbents?

Yes - vote the other way
No - vote the same

All the rest of our parties don't really count. I'm sure somebody will come up with counter-examples where the pretender to the crown failed.

We had arguments in here and from both main parties that voting for another party just helps the main party you don't really want.

Oh god, not him. Subjective decisions about what he thinks are important.

No data input.

Garbage in, garbage out.

Silver is heading the same way

Ben Ansell's substack what I posted the other day is excellent on the state of the US race currently.

Apparently PA doesn't matter if GA/NC/MI all go to Harris. As latest polls seem to indicate...

It's depressing that the race is apparently so close given that one candidate is clueless, incompetent and insane. Grown ups should be able to recognise these traits but apparently they can't.

The USA is in a heap of trouble.

Winter fuel allowance savings going straight to Ukraine it seems. Not good optics.

Can’t help thinking this particular cut is a massive mistake by Labour; really they should be taxing the wealthy. See what happens with the vote I suppose

Be particularly interesting what sanctions placed on any Labour MP, who still has the whip, rebels and votes against it.
