Twitter have just locked my account for refusing repeatedly to add a birth date. Fozzy will probably say that's a good thing. I could add a date, but the moment I do, I will undoubtedly get all the porn spam ads (which had disappeared), and then probably the far left showing horrific scenes from Gaza (which I'm fully aware are awful and which the US needs to weigh in on Netanyahu). All because one of the worst people in the world , thinks he's god's gift to free speech, when in fact he's a gaslighting nazi despised even by some of his own children. When will he bankrupt them? Surely it can't be allowed to continue by shareholder...or is it just not possible for them to stop the inevitable. |

There's a following tab on Twitter and it can be your default so you don't really need to see absolutely random stuff.

"The JSO protest cost £765,000 to the economy." The JSO sentences cost a lot more. |

Not verified but seen on twitter: "Yesterday, a man who threatened to kill a woman, punched and slashed her with a knife repeatedly got a suspended prison sentence Judge cited prisons being full & 3 years of court delays as part of reason for not sending to jail" |

Devil's advocate on that - it might be that time spent on remand/curfew bail would have meant that any peison sentence would have been released time-served, whereas with the SSO, there was Probation intervention that could potentially reduce recidivism.

There is rarely a probation intervention that reduces recidivism in those that were the ones likely to reoffend in the first place. Speaking anecdotally from 1st hand experience in a limited catchment area though. |

Poor little old Trump will get the sympathy vote and he will win in November. 4 more years of Trump will be as bad or worse than the first 4 years of him as President.

A UN court the ICJ has just reached a judgement (which started BEFORE October 7 by the way) to say Israel occupation of Palestinian lands is illegal. Wonder how UK and US governments will react and will they finally stop enabling Israel's illegal behaviour? bbc.co.uk |

Obviously Starmer and Sunak as PM and Leader of Opposition respectively both studiously ignoring the genocide is far better than when we only had Sunak and Starmer as PM and Leader of Opposition respectively studiously ignoring the genocide.
