I was speaking to someone from New York and according to her nearly everyone who lives in New York is very unlikely to vote for Trump as he has cheated too many people who live there. Only 2% of New Yorkers voted for trump in the last election.

OK, so that means that if he shoots someone on 5th Avenue, he is unlikely to even lose their vote.

I think the state wide poll is pretty tight by historic standards. Biden won by 24 points. Only up by 9 at the moment.

Biden is a joke. Happy to allow Israel to slaughter people in Palestine. Can’t believe the cheerleading going on for him, except I can as its JB who has transferred his Annie Wilkes act to Biden. Any pet names yet JB? |

There's room in the middle for a less extreme view. Lurching all over the place into doomsday scenarios isn't helpful. Trump will be terrible, but let's come back in 2030 and see which reality was played out between the extremes. I'm pretty confident of the middle ground coming true. |

Biden is a joke, but Trump is a worse joke.

Well yes larkim it will always be possible in hindsight to point to some warning of some extreme thing that didn’t happen. It’s not really a very useful or interesting game to play though. Lovelock said something silly about the last few breeding pairs of humans huddling round the arctic circle like penguins. So, let’s just see what happens with climate change. It will probably be “middle ground” that comes true. |

Meh, I do think it is useful. One thing very wrong with the world at the moment is that everything is some binary polemic, tending towards the simplism. Arguing that Trump will become akin to a fascist dictator, imprisoning opponents and removing democracy is one such position. We should fear he might, but he clearly won't. |

He has said he will. He is a narcissistic bully who will weaponise the justice system. What part of his psyche have you identified that does not point towards him doing what he said. Do you not recall the “lock her up” chanting. And now he’s had a dry run, knows where he went wrong and has the SCOTUS in his pocket. You must be a really nice person Larkim to see any redeeming qualities in Trump. |
