Any internationally set limits, Trump will just ignore, doubly so if he adopts an isolationist policy as you're possibly correct with. Irrespective of whether US is setting the agenda or not. Depends what approach and impact China and lesser extent India have. 187 countries can be doing one thing, the other 2 can mess it entirely up.

He will pull out of climate change accords. He did it last time and he will do it again. If, as seems increasingly likely, he wins the presidency and the Senate, and takes control of the house, he will have control of administration, legislature and judiciary. How do we think that will go? He will do a lot of damage before they eventually throw him out or he dies.

What does the thread think about David Lammy shaking hands with and appeasing a war criminal. Is that the business of serious government? Given how Hungary / Orban are being blackballed by the EU for meeting Putin, is this not another case of double standards, and that dead Palestinians don’t matter I see the unelected crony John Woodcock has been on the attack against pro Palestinian candidates in the recent election |

The talk of the clean sweep of the senate house is premature. Look at the YouGov senate polls: Arizona -🔵Gallego +8 Michigan -🔵Slotkin +9 Nevada -🔵Rosen +7 Pennsylvania -🔵Casey +12 Wisconsin -🔵Baldwin +7 Big Leads for Democrats in the swing states. |

Which makes the actual presidential voting stats look weird: Arizona - 🔴 Trump +7 Georgia - 🔴 Trump +4 Michigan - 🔴 Trump +2 North Carolina - 🔴 Trump +4 Nevada - 🔴 Trump +4 Pennsylvania - 🔴 Trump +3 Wisconsin - 🔴 Trump +5 |

Apparently it would be virtually unheard of for people to vote across states for the Senate Democrat and the Republican president, it happens very occasionally in single states, but never across the board. So obviously the above isn't going to happen - the question is which will win? |

Yes, but Lammy met Netanyahu and Herzog, Palestinian PM Mohammad Mustafa as well as other relief agencies. You can't try and bridge peace without meeting all sides. Future may judge him no better than a chocolate fireguard but right now, I'm not going to criticise a UK foreign secretary for meeting all sides if he's serious about wanting a ceasefire. |

You mean the meetings where he met with Israeli PM Netanyahu and also Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and "urged an immediate ceasefire"? Sounds pretty serious to me. 5pillarsuk.com |
