Need to catch that, but am hearing it hit the right notes. I think Sunak is to a degree a bit like Corbyn - appointed to a role of leadership which he just couldn't fulfil despite his fundamental intent being sound (within the context of their personal moral framework, whether or not I agree with it).

I know LK was a Young Conservative before getting into a Proper Job when she grew up, and I know she has contacts in the Tory party and not so much with Labour, and I've heard interviews where she seemed to soft pedal on Tories and go for the throat with Labour but this was like a pissed off teen having to repeat back what their parents said. He's talking about unity and trust and service. Service? Euuurgh! Maybe she's just tired and isn't hiding it so well today. I'm assuming they'll have to wheel her off soon and plug her in to recharge. It's been a long shift. |
