We had local hustings earlier this week. I am very impressed with one of our independent candidates who, having listened back to the recording, has just issued a list of clarifications/corrections where he had got figures slightly wrong or misspoke. Almost inclined to vote for him.because of that.

I'm seeing quite a few Andrew George placards in parts of the St Ives constituency where I venture (mostly Lelant, which is quite a well-to-do place). He was MP for the area once and I wonder if the LibDems are making up ground. He's the recommended candidate for tactical voting.

Thanks Fields, I thought there must be a good reason. Obviously won't be the case this time, but in an election decided by 1 seat there would be a mad rush down to the south west.

Cheg - I can save the time for you this year it will be Andrew George - Lib Dem. Of course as usual there are two Liberals (the old less liberal, liberal party untouched by that heathen SDP nonsense - although looking at where the SDP are now, perhaps extremely foresight), but George is comfortably to the left of the Starmerite Labour party and shouldn't have any trouble picking up the Labour vote. Indeed Labour have pulled canvassers out of all Lib Dem likely constituencies in Cornwal (ie that one, and North Cornwall). |

The only two Cornish constituencies that are in any doubt are North Cornwall - Tory vs Lib Dem and my own SE Cornwall Tory vs Labour. It will need to be a sub 100 Tory seat night to see both of those go. I don't expect SE Cornwall will remove our useless Tory mp, but you can hope. I was in Falmouth last night, all I passed were Labour and Lib Dem posters. The only Tory one was a big farm before I got to Truro. On the way to Plymouth in the opposite direction there is a couple of Tory ones, but some of the farms that displayed them in 2019 are not this time around. |

I walked a fair chunk of my constituency yesterday, no posters for tories an equal mix of Labour and Lib Dem posters but it must be said less than 10 posters in total

In my own constituency I don't think I've seen a single poster for any other party other than Labour and there's not that many of them (though I live the wrong side of town for Conservatives and the target Green areas); though conversely Labour is the only party I've not had a leaflet from (from 5 parties). Perhaps saw 2 Conservative canvassers yesterday round the corner from my house. Not had any knock on my door yet this year. Was also bombarded with Labour online adverts yesterday. It probably ought to be a key seat (it will be one of Labour's higher targets to regain) though I wonder if both Labour and Conservative largely know the result and prioritising elsewhere. |

Andrew George is also a member of the local running club and has been in some local events. I sometimes see him out training.
