You could argue that anyone who came of age since the GFC is in this category. Entire working life in a period of little economic growth and widening inequality, housing crisis, rents sky high, little safety net any more Or if going for those who are 14-18 now - their childhood has been austerity, hollowing of public services eg EMA, sure start, covid, climate change disaster which no politicians will even acknowledge, etc now they’re expected to do national service and what has the country ever done for them? Yuck. I feel all dirty. Johnson has written an article denouncing the far left/far right conspiracy theory that the war in Ukraine is all NATO/the EU/the west/Keir starmer/WEF/WHO's fault and i am forced, on this one narrow, singular point to agree with him. |
