The challenge for Labour in Scotland is being highlighted in the Rutherglen and Hamilton West byelection.
Labour will have to fight on a more left-of-centre platform in Scotland to oust the SNP. In England they've chosen to campaign on a more right-of-centre platform to attract Tory voters. This will lead to inevitable questions about exactly what that party stands for.
This is already evident from the Labour candidate, Michael Shanks, who has come out against the two-child cap and bedroom tax. These are policies the Keir Starmer has said will remain should Labour be returned at the next GE.

SNP + Green is the most socialist vote you can have in Scotland at the moment (apart from Scottish Socialist Party, which is led by an unsavoury character!) But come independence, we would have a better choice.
