It’s a shame that he whipped his party into voting for it then.

The more you see of them, the more you despise them.

Common 'wisdom' says the older your get the more Tory you become, is that still true? Really I should be on the turn, but I find myself more and more disgusted but them as I crawl through life.

What "should happen" if there is any justice in the world. Privileges Committee finds Johnson misled Parliament. Suspended. Sunak withdraws the whip. Johnson recalled/deselected. Sunak says that a resignation honours list is in supportable in the circumstances: annuls it completely. |

Giving your dad a knighthood and brother a peerage - how is the UK distinguishable from corrupt failed states that we would normally criticise in other regions of the world?! Makes me feel sick.

The idea that he gets any kind of “honours” list at all after the way he has dragged this country into the muck with his lies and narcissism is an idea I find quite upsetting. If the only argument that can be marshalled in favour of this is “convention” then convention is a pile of crap. Truss also getting the chance to reward her mates after 47 days of almost destroying the economy. The whole situation is pathetic and makes us look like chumps. It also puts several more nails into the coffin holding the remains of political trust. |

I can definitely see how my mum's thinking/beliefs have become more in line with Tory policy. Though that might just be because she reads (and is most definitely spun by) the Daily Mail. |
