Has anyone asked Mancock about his total lack of ethics in turning over thousands of private messages to a journalist? Good point. He was clearly using WhatsApp to conduct govt business. First question is why? Second question is why doesn’t turning the messages over to a journalist constitute a massive potential security breach? Third question is why doesn’t anyone seem to care about this stuff anymore? |

Because there has been so much shit coming out about this government, we have all become desensitized to it. There must be freedom of information issues about them using WhatsApp for official business. If someone does an FOI request, and there is relevant info stored on WhatsApp, how would that be retrievable. It's the same about not using personal e-mail accounts for official business as well. Plus they could be hacked more easily.

Johnson in particular is too arrogant, too incompetent and too thick to ever spend much time thinking about personal security - see his bungabunga trip to Lebedev’s villa when he was Foreign Secretary, for example. The rot started from the top. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Russians, the Chinese and the Yanks have been hoovering up sensitive material from Johnson and his crew like there’s no tomorrow. |

Rory Stewart tells a story that he was invited to the same party Johnson went to. “No. Of course not. Why should I go there?” “There will be girls there. Boris is going.” No further comment necessary. |

I guess this is the answer: Labour explicitly says a "bad Brexit deal" is exacerbating the nation's economic challenges, calling for a "reset" to relations with Europe. bbc.co.uk |
