Quote from Margaret Hodge today on Netanyahu’s government: “The tensions are febrile and yet the international community, preoccupied with other crises, is doing little more than expressing concern at the heightened violence. In my humble view, it is simply not pro-Israel, nor pro-Palestinian, to do nothing.” It’s about as “not pro-Israel” as not reacting to the Ukraine invasion wouldn’t be “pro-Russian” If anyone else had made that quote Ms Hodge and Labour Friends of Israel would be shouting anti-semitism from the rooftops |

Johnson reaction to standards committee saying he lied to parl: 'sue gray - so biased evidence' Standards committee reply: our report not based on sue gray or her report, but actually on the photos, whatsapp messages and witness who were there. And yet there are a ready supply of morons ready to back him. |

JRM on CH4 news just asked 'where did the Met get they're info from?' trying to infer that it came from some left wing conspiracy and opposed to the questionnaires filled out by the people at the parties

See I really don't see why Mogg is so insistent on continually hitching his wagon to Johnson. I get Nadders, but not him. It makes no sense to me - I get why when he was challenging for the leadership and agitating against TM, and then subsequently and in and amongst the Brexit shit. But now it makes no sense. Johnson might see himself as Emperor-over-the-sea just biding his time for a comeback, but everyone can see he has no clothes (sticking to a theme here) - even most of the Tory party, except for the complete loons. RM might not be going to get into govt again unless it's Johnson, Patel or Nadders as PM (all of which are both chilling and unlikely), but I don't get why he's staying with Johnson and his "me me me memememememe" saga. I realise that he's an utter Brexiter, but even that doesn't seem to explain it. But then Brexiters be death cult crazy. |

I think perhaps JRM does hope for, fantasise about a comeback for Johnson and sees Johnson as his useful idiot. I think he's backed himself into a corner. I suspect Sunak would, if he feels he's strong enough, deselect JRM. JRM is only in parliament to further his own ends/profit and his greed, he's had it his own way for so long and has got used to it so wants to see Johnson return to the top to further his own wealth. End of the day though, JRM could never poison the doors of Westminster again and have more money than is healthy so he's got fuck to lose. |

"This week he (Sunak) was telling the people of Northern Ireland that they were in an “unbelievably special position” of having access to both the UK home market and the EU single market. “Nobody else has that,” he said". Every time I read this, it just amazes me even more. |
