Yup - I didn't even realise Chester was a Labour seat: it always reminds me of Gyles Brandreth...

Starmer will walk it. It's the other forthcoming by-elections when a couple of mps resign over Johnson that will be. Papers reckon 12 mps will defect/resign, so probably 8 or 9 when they face the cold light of day.

Privileges committee sources have leaked to Guardian that evidence is sooo damning that Johnson would be gone by Xmas. Only choice is to close down the committee, one Tory mp say that would "bring down the govt". Whether it would remains to be seen, Tories are spineless amoebas at the end of the day.

A 7000 majority I think.

One by-election far from paints a picture but could be a good indicator.

I notice a few council bi-elections (even less of a proper picture) last night each threw up different results, including Lab gain from Cons, Cons gain from LD, LD gain from Cons, a Cons hold, and another narrow Lab hold

Only hope is Sunak/Mordaunt and merge into one, and keep Johnson away from 100 mps. Some journos remain confident he won't get 100, but these are Tories we're talking about. Diseased scum. Gullis put in a no confidence letter, says he's backing Johnson to come back. See what I mean? Absolutely base of the earth scum.

Zorba will be along shortly to complain that I'm being abusive to Tories.

My pension is now down 19.2% - I've cutting payments down to the allowed minimum, because Johnson's prospective re-election means I'm throwing money down into a blackhole.

Sunak theoretically up to 72 endorsements already, and Mordaunt still only on 18.

Still the majority haven't said nowt yet though.

Bond yields are surging, that means the bond market is tanking
