What happens if Johnson wins, maybe half (I don't know a much smaller figure would suffice) resign / cross the floor, then how does Johnson really go to the King and say he can command the confidence of the majority of MPs?
He'll say "I lied to your mum, nothings changed.. I can command the confidence of...."

148 voted against him in an NC vote plus an unknown number of the payroll vote probably wanted him out but voted for him. Could easily be 250 wanted him out. If Sunak gets that, the trolley should have the sense to realise he will be on a sticky wicket. *should have*
