Stewart Lee did a piece mocking his name after a bit of brown nosing from Tugendhat, and was accused of anti-Semitism and the article was withdrawn and so on. (Obviously Lee was unaware that he is Jewish).

He isn't.

He has Jewish ancestry, but that doesn't in itself make him Jewish.

Good correction - his Wikipedia entry says he's Catholic, did a Theology degree and a master's in Islamic studies. Nevertheless, offence was taken both by him and on his behalf by the Jewish Chronicle about mocking of his surname.

Utter tripe that Starmer being cleared is not a good thing for labour.

And wishing otherwise is idiotic if you want to see a left/centre-left govt.

It's only good news on the left if you're so far left that you think Corbyn is right wing. I.e. lexiters.

The biggest surprises is that (a) they investigated the thing in the second place (having already cleared them once) and (b) it took so long.

Tugendhat only rhymes with Tugemoff if you aren't European, by the way. It's "Too" not "Tuh" in Dutch, German, Austrian etc. pronounciation! :-) G
