Reports of 5th September rather than conference (October) being Tory target time for new leader. That's as fast as they can manage apparently.

Yet, try to get down to two before the summer recess and give the party members six weeks to cast their votes.

They need a new leader and a new Cabinet of all the talentless by conference fo sho.
The more I think about it, the more I think that Sunak has no chance. He was busted with the Green Card/non-dom thing and I can't see how he can get past that - and I don't think he should, either. I think Zahawi also has more skeletons in his closet waiting to fall out. Truss/Wallace. Probably Wallace, who I know nowt about beyond some people seeming to think he is more sane than most of them.
But I never make predictions. Because I never get it right.

Oh, July 2020:
"I am so naive. But even 3 or 4 of those would be an improvement. Instead we have a fool, a liar, a cheat, a philanderer and an unprincipled opportunist with zero empathy and a commitment to deploying any tricks necessary to cling to power. His downfall is coming. Self-inflicted or at the point of a bayonet he won't last the term."

My guess, and notoriously bad at guessing, would be a final two contest between Rishi and Wallace.... but I have been wrong before

I saw some polling earlier that had Wallace ahead with members in almost all the head-to-heads, including Sunak.

Oh this: Maggie delivered 3 election victories for the Tories, including 2 majorities >100 seats. They still booted her.
Johnson is not Thatcher. He's not even David Cameron. He is going soon because the next 4 years will be an awful grind and we will still be in the shit by the end of it. Not what he was expecting at all. He is a man of weak character, and sooner or later he will bolt for the door - or they will tire of his incompetence and foolishness and eject him. He is a one term PM if that. Nailed on.

Truss, surely, would be the members' favourite. (Though not mine, obvs, unless she's up against Patel or worse).
I reckon there's a fair chance of withdrawals meaning no final member ballot and a speedier replacement. No guarantees of course. It would be good if Johnson could get booted out unceremoniously at some random unpredictable time.

I'd love the Queen to turn up to #10 when he is out and change the locks
