Are we sure she's not a part-time umpire?

The loony left will always hate anyone who isn't Corbyn or his anointed heir. That's their problem.

Starmer just ain't very good that's all. Let's here the argument that he is. Adequate is probably the best you'll get.

The Tories are exhausted. They have nothing to offer beyond "rebuilding" the economy that they have been responsible for managing for the last 12 years.
They are a shambles at the moment. Incapable of governing. Changing the man at the top won't change the fact that they are a rotting corpse of chancers, halfwits and Imperial nostalgics who hate "ordinary people". It's all to play for.

Not sure what everyone wants from Starmer.
Think that earnest, trustworthy, straight, fair, meticulous, wise, honest, done a fair days work, not a banker, didn't go to Eton and not a convicted criminal should be enough perhaps?
Do people think he should have a bit more of the Boris about him?
This isn't, and it never was, the time for superficial, shallow, no mark fools.
Running an actual country, the one we have to live in is serious business. There shouldn't be any room for novelty acts or people who would get to the final is big brother.
I'm actually coming to a point where I understand why Teresa May thought she might make a half decent PM and let's face it, compared to Johnson she was adequate.

Also, Sunak is apparently going to pitch good leadership bid on his humble origins.
I imagine he'll have to spend millions to convince people of that, writing the cheque with no sense of irony at all
