I know there's disappointment that Starmer has been cleared (!) amongst some on the left, but if they'd been fined it would have been a simple "look, all parties are as bad as each other" pitch from the Tories which could well have negated any positivity of getting a new inspirational leader like (the nonMP) Burnham.

Time for the LP to knuckle down and start the election campaign whilst they're on the front foot (or at least have the chance to be). Bang on about integrity, principles, etc. Get the policies out there.

No huge moves in the betting market, but Wallace has shortened up a bit and is now fav, Tugendhat also come in a bit.

For someone who has been top three in the betting for the last few days, Mordaunt feels a bit elusive. I haven't her even give an interview so far.

Sure feels like a market lacking in any sort of informed money at this stage.

Obvious line for Starmer vs Sunak: I said I would resign if I was found guilty of an offence. You carried on.

I'm not gonna predict who will win but Truss vs Sunak seems like a reasonable bet.

A bit like Ali vs Frazier if the two of them were both totally shit.

Truss would be a gift for Labour. Thick as mince.

Liz Truss’ price continues to wander out since she was seen as a shoe in to take over. Is that because party members have realised she’s 🤷‍♂️ or because she missed the boat while she was out of the country when Johnson resigned?

My guess is the PCP think she's a loser. The membership possibly not.

Wallace +85 on Conservative Home, Zahawi 66, Truss 60.

Sunak 11

Bunter minus 15 - yes, great personal mandate there. Big vote winner.
