(although, actually, that does actually come over just a teensy-weensy bit threatening! Thankfully, I'm relatively confident that that wasn't the intention. Replace 'liberals' with 'gays' or 'Jews' in exactly the same sentence, though...)

I like Watford Gap. It's got a Leon. I often stop there when I'm on my way back North.

liberal (small 'l') =/= Liberal Democrat liberal (small 'l') =/= Liberal Party liberal (small 'l') =/= libertarian It would be a fallacy to think that someone describing themselves as 'liberal' in terms of their political positions and values would necessarily describe themselves as acoyltes or supporters of any political party or movement that has 'Liberal' as part of its name. You can quite easily be a liberal social democrat. |

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
[Every day is a school day... "Offering the chain’s seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired menu including the famous carbon neutral burgers launched earlier this year, the new restaurant aims to plug a gap in the market for fast food that makes it easier for everyone to ‘eat well, live well and be kind to the planet.’ With more and more consumers opting for more sustainable food choices, it is expected to be a popular addition to Watford Gap South," the spokesperson said." I guess they haven't made it to Scotland yet?! G] |
