There's an unwritten rule about not p-ing off the bosses wife/girlfriend /mistress! She will be able to get her own back later.

Happened to me once. In my defence, I didn't know he was having an affair with her at the time, it only made sense about 5 years later!

Arizona has now effectively been called for Biden, so he is up to 306. All handy as buffer against Trump's attempts to subvert democracy.

BBC still hasn't called it yet (which means CBS? is yet to call).

Yes, not been called yet by some networks. Suspect it will be today. Decision Desk called it, and Dan Wasserman and Nate Silver on Twitter have said it's done, but not 'official' yet. No way back for Trump, though.

Worth a look at politico if you are interested in the resignation - lots of game playing with leaks behind the scenes and the result being a vote leave power grab has fortunately backfired.

Yes I heard the politico bloke on r5 this morning.

Sounds like the brexit hardliners aren't happy, which suggests perhaps maybe potentially in theory, they might be willing to give in a little on the internal trade bill and/or eu deal.

Maybe

If you read their stuff, Dom will piss off in January, having taken a wrecking ball to the Country. Can't say it would surprise me. His legacy will mean he is tarnished for the rest of his days although I dare say all the cronies currently benefiting from Johnson's spending spree will rush to offer him a few stipends for a couple of days' work a month, superforecasting the future - I can save them the money, it's gonna be shit.

It is unfathomable to me how someone unelected, with such utterly destructive (and largely stupid) ideas, could have been given such unconstrained power over the country, without many people even batting an eyelid.

I finding it quite amusing that Tory backbenchers are asking for an economic impact assessment of the 2nd lockdown, given that they voted *not* to do economic impact assessments on Brexit.
