Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

JB - Matthew Parris talks about the need for right wing leaders to be arseholes here, something that he's personally uncomfortable with:

"What if only slobs can sell conservatism to 21st-century electorates? Truly, as Gove said, does wisdom take many forms: and Donald Trump’s may have been a terrible kind of wisdom."

And in case anyone missed this story, it seems Trump's team tried to book the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia for their press conference about electoral fraud, but got the wrong Four Seasons - and got a small gardening firm in a parking lot... but went ahead with it anyway (British papers a little coy sayingit's unclear why they'd book a landscaping firm - nope it's obvious they got the wrong Four seasons and tried to brazen it out, check the hotel's twitter timeline):

And then Giuliani gets told mid conference that Biden has just been declared president. I'm not laughing at their stupidity... cough splutter.

And finally the Government (i.e. Boris) agrees to provide free meals for those who qualify during the Christmas holidays.

Compassionate Conservatism or just political expediency?

The four seasons thing is hilarious. Next door to an adult bookstore too :-)
