Johnson, Gove and Farage backed the wrong guy. Predictably enough, as they tend to be wrong about most things.
I'm just pleased that the US has a functioning human being back in the White House. If only we had a man or woman of good character in Number 10.

Just an anecdote here, but the friends I have who vote Trump/Tory think that having an a-hole as leader is generally a good thing. The more duplicitous and cynical the better. I beg to differ. Character does matter.

I guess BoJo still has to work with the Orange one for the next few months, and there is the remote possibility that something stupid could happen in the US that means Trump is either influential or powerful for the next few years - or could return. Would be poor diplomacy that didn't take some account of that.
