Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That bottle of champagne remains undrunk, but is in the fridge and will be drunk this evening (as, very likely, will I).

It's very dangerous to get in the fridge, J2R, didn't you see those public information ads as a kid?

Indiana Jones has a lot to answer for.

It's like Eurovision when the competition completely changes when the punters votes come through.

Decision Desk has just called Pennsylania and declared Biden president. Who they? Dunno, but I like them

The networks will call the states when they fit the modelled data.

They won't wait for it to be mathematically impossible.

That said, I can't believe AP and Fox didn't withdraw their projection on Arizona.

What the networks *might* do is wait for prime time....

Thinking cynically

@rf - just thinking that as the number of mail in ballots are so high, they might not be as confident in their models as they would be usually, hence the "mathematically impossible" comment. Maybe not impossible, but implausible. If i were them I'd be more cautious this year.

ABC news will project when they are "99.5% sure" (presumably in statistical probability terms) according to 538 live blog.

CNN seem pretty clear....

CNN reported that a “national defence airspace” would be established above the Democratic candidate’s house in Wilmington, Delaware, meaning he would begin to receive the protection of the US military, the first trappings of the presidency.

fozzy - You saw didn't you that Trump phoned Murdoch and demanded he retract, and Rupert said no. So it's personal - that's why no retraction.
