Not to mention putting people who are *over 16* onto the sex offenders' register for the serious crime of taking pictures of themselves.

I’m old enough to remember Bill Wyman too, funny though, because in my place of work at the time, the chat was; I see Wyman’s a beast.

Earlier still, Jerry Lee Lewis's career was knocked off course when a sole journalist in London uncovered that Lewis had married his first cousin, once removed, Myra Gale Brown, aged 13. Lewis, Brown and the rocker's management insisted she was 15 - so that was all right, then.

And no condemnation of David Bowie, John Peel or that bloke from Led Zep. Hey, if you want to abuse young girls, best be talentless like Gary Glitter.

According to a report by the JRF Scotland has lower poverty rates than England because of more affordable social housing.
Maybe that’s something that should be looked at.

Hang on Ally-C. You want to talk about actual policies, and not personalities?
Good shout!
Especially since many of the personalities are pretty distasteful in one way or another, and aren't worth the effort.

Watched the BBC news hoping to see how they reported Sinn Fein winning the Irish election:
"After 96% seats reporting:
Sinn Féin had 24.1%, with Fianna Fáil on 22.1%, Fine Gael on 22.1%, Greens on 7.4%"
source Guardian
but they could not do it. Blathered on about all parties being equal in the exit poll. But the exit poll is WRONG. Wrong by 2% in Sinn Fein's case. Report the fucking news BBC. Yes, Sinn Fein won't be able to form a govt as they didn't field candidates in all seats, but they won the vote. Why can't the mouthpiece of the government says it?
So Boris Johnson treats the Irish with disdain, racism, derisive rhetoric, patronises them, belittles them, attempts to humiliate Varadkar last year, and surprise, surprise the Irish throw it back in their faces. Who knew? JRM and Johnson have done more to advance the cause of Irish reunification that Corbyn could ever dream of.

Careful Chris. The Irish electorate have given Varadkar a kicking too.The success of SF in the South isn't an anti-Brit vote, nor is it driven by anything particularly Brexity. It's far more a rejection of the same old 2 party system (FF and FG, both right of centre) who've managed a couple of decades of complacent mis-management between them and no sign of change. e.g. Ireland has a worse housing/rent crisis than Britain currently.
(Yes, most Irish folk think Bonson is a tool, and Brexit is a ridiculous thing to do. But not everything Ireland does is in the context of Britain).
And to clarify for anyone not aware - SF in the south and SF in the north are simultaneously the same party, and not the same party. A vote for SF in the south is absolutely not about re-unification. It's not the same as voting SF in the north, nor is it analogous to the SNP situation.

It's a bit British centric isn't it to be assuming that votes for SF in Eire are about the UK PM?
