I live in hope of a better world HG.
I still can't get my head around why Bojo isn't an electoral liability, as not a single person I have ever met or talked to thinks about him as anything other than a complete deceitful clown. I can see how him vs the RW press's version of Corbyn was seen as better option, but up against a Labour front bench with heft, capability, insight etc and a bit of media savvy I still ive in the hope that he'll implode - hopefully without taking the country with him too badly!

Although a bit marmite, he is largely liked and has the all important cross party appeal.
Jaded people seem to believe politicians are all as bad when it comes to mistruth and don't seem to get that BoJo is in a league of his own. Well, maybe second place in division 1 to Trump, but certainly up there with the greatest political liars.
It's not sustainable unless things turn out well though. I imagine his support lacks any loyalty and he will be hung out to dry by the Tories when the time is right.

Everyone gets hung out to dry eventually, that doesn’t mean anything.

As an old fart who lived through Thatcher and the rest I can say that in my opinion he is the least able, least knowledgeable, least sagacious, least competent, most lazy and unprincipled PM in my experience. He is essentially an over-promoted journalist who spewed out hack pieces for decades. I can't see his tenure ending well, but you can never be certain about these things.

I am halfway through listening to a Podcast interview of Lisa Nandy and she is coming across as better than I expected. I did though think her comments on the way to deal with Scottish Independence last week were pretty poor.
