Labour will find more charisma than KS or RLB when the Tories find someone with more competence than Bojo.
We're at a low ebb of talent all round. (I actually think KS can shine and demonstrate charisma, but I can see how he does come across as a little underpowered in that department)

I'm not entirely certain that the complaints lie with people taking occasional trips to see family that would be entirely unfeasible if they weren't done by plane.
I think the problem is more people who fly regularly between, for instance, Leeds or Manchester and London despite there being a quicker, electric powered, door to door option.
It's all about considering if flying is really necessary, and in your case, you would consider that it is.

Agreed Zorba, I was just taking a moral high ground!!
Charisma can win you an election. But he's now got to govern competently. If he fails at that, then competence and absence of "personality" may actually be a winning ticket for Labour once familiarity with KS (fingers crossed) is established. Perhaps I'm just too idealistic though...
