But my wife and I love the Lincolnshire area generally - I'd move here tomorrow but she has decided she doesn't want to move away from our daughter and possible future grandchildren. We regularly drag the caravan up this way. Back again in August at a wonderful place called Woodhall spa. I'm working on her and trying to get her to realise that she has to live her life, not those of potentially non-existence grandchildren. |

Woodhall Spa is lovely. I keep meaning to bring the boy down with a tent one weekend so he can go to the Lido and the Kinema in the Woods. But as it's less than 40 miles from my home 3 miles from Grimsby, I don't see the need to plan ahead, then the opportunity passes. |

We have seen a few films in there (and seen the organ being played), but never managed the Lido. Missus is insisting we do it this time.

Welcome to the land of forum posting, JR. Given the vitriol associated with the teardrop development in the press comments pages, I hope your friend has a very thick skin! Working with York City Council seems to be a poison chalice at the moment. |

The govt worked on transferring Parliament to the Royal Shakespeare theatre in Stratford upon Avon during the war. Also Dumbleton Hall.
