Make your mind up which question you're asking DV. Are you asking what we want or what we expect?
What I want is for no Tory to ever cross the threshold of the House again ever. What I expect is that they'll get a slim majority. Therefore what I hope is that it's a hung parliament and they can be stopped from driving the country off the Brexit cliff.
Pick which one you think is the most amusing to you.

A "Shitshow" doesn't even begin to describe what's happening in politics at the moment. Having a proven liar as the PM doesn't get you off to a good start, and the dirty tricks brigade of the Tory right have been lying their tits off for months. "Aide punched in face by protestor outside hospital". "Factcheck.uk". "50000 MORE nurses". "No customs checks between the UK and NI". I could fill volumes with this shit. Lying b*tards..
A plague on all their houses...

DV, I think it ought to make sense to many people who care about the fabric of our society, not just the "remain" contingent.
I know people who are very different from me in terms of their personal political views (mostly due to their lack of education and nostalgia for the "good old days") but are deeply caring human beings who are equally appalled by the divisions and extreme views now in evidence in society.
It seems to me that no-one in power is prepared to try to offer any olive branches, or build bridges, with those on the "other" side of the debate, and those who try to sit in the middle (not that you can really have a middle in a binary choice) are reviled from both sides.

I agree Marky.
The referendum has opened this great chasm between opposing viewpoints and at the same time it appears to be becoming more acceptable to hurl insults around at the other side (and lies, false news, etc, etc ), rather than actually engaging with your opposite numbers to find any sort of a solution.
I don't think either side can claim any moral high ground - the behaviour of them all has been - and continues to be - bloody awful.

So, following on from the leaked Barnier phone call (which actually has some substance relating to policy, rather than just some fairly obvious opinions), I wonder if DV is one of the gullible lot who believe in "getting brexit done" that I'm going to be laughing at for the foreseeable future, or is he simply dishonest in his pretence that it will all be done by the end of 2020?
Oh, silly me, he'll be trolling under a new alias and disclaiming any responsibility for his old views.

DV, I would prefer a hung parliament (knowing labour wont win) as it prevents the tories causing the predicted damage on those that I work with.

What I want:
hung Parliament -> leading to referendum -> voting to remain -> new elections
What I expect:
small Tory majority -> leading to Brexit -> leading to ERG scuppering transition deal -> leading to chaotic no deal or signing up to some very dodgy terms that the EU dictates at end of 2020
