That's an interesting way to approach it. Happy with their choices? ( just out of interest!) :-) G

TomahawkMike - my father (then 83) pretty much did that for the Referendum. Although he's been a Daily Mail reader for many years he actually listened to my arguments and decided to vote for Remain as , in his mind, 'the vote isn't about me or for me'.

Sadly, he's now passed on, but (every cloud..) it's one less person buying the Daily Mail..!

So i will be voting Labour. Interesting that a disillusioned, but hopeful Son no. 3 thinks that the best outcome would be a fragile lib/lab government that lasts a year and results in all the party leaders being ousted and a real general election in about a years time.

i would be inclined to trust bookies over pollsters TBH

(to continue the gambling analogy, if post-truth 2019 era UK politics is a casino, then the tories are the pit boss)

Looks like Boris Johnson sent his dad to channel 4 to get him excused from gym today.

What a fucking spanner we have as PM. I see their response to the ice sculpture is to start making noises about the C4 license. Of course we would expect such threats in a banana Republic or an authoritarian regime, but you would think we were above such things. Apparently not.

About This Thread

Name-calling will be called out, and Ad hominem will be frowned upon. :-) And whatabout-ery sits somewhere above responding to tone and below contradiction.

*** NEW US election PREDICTOR *** Predict:

1) Number of electoral college votes Democrats get
2) Party to win the Senate (Democrat or Republican)
3) Party to win the House (Democrat or Republican)

Do the prediction like this: 312 D D - you win if you get the first number right and no-one else does.

Johnny Blaze 360 R D
Bob 312 D D
EarlyRiser 306 R D
LindsD 298 R D
Chrisull 276 R D
Larkim 268 R R
TROSaracen 226 R R
