So Cox says: "This parliament is a dead parliament. It should no longer sit. It has no moral right to sit on these green benches"
But actually, parliament is elected for a 5 year term under the FTPA which he voted for. It is the government that is dead and which has no moral right to sit, with a majority of -43 and a PM whose latest humiliation is being on the wrong side of an 11-0 judgement from the supreme court after he acted on Cox's incompetent advice.

Cox's reaction has been the most dismaying of all. One might have hoped he would show a little humility, as law is, nominally, his area.

It's just so astonishing that Johnson can address Parliament and berate those for supposedly not agreeing to brexit when he voted against Theresa May's plan so often. Apparently it was ok when he did it. How are politicians allowed to get away with this?

@GordonG, I think in general you have to be a self serving hypocrite to be a politician, with a few exceptions.

While the media largely make no attempt to hold them to account, it's not going to get better.

At this point I really wonder if their aim is to provoke riots. Hard to see this going anywhere else. And the backbenchers are applauding him!

Johnson walks into a pub and says, "I'll have a pint of beer, please." The barman pours a pint, then throws it all over him.
'What did you do that for?' says Johnson.
'Because you're in a metaphor which illustrates the stupidity of asking for something, but not stipulating how you wanted it delivered. '
'OK then... I'll have a pint -- this time in a glass!' says Johnson.
'You can't ask again!' said the barman.
'Why not?' sniveled Johnson.
'Democracy.' says the barman.
