Events don't all use social media to the same extent. parkrunners don't all use social media to the same extent. Volunteering is an active thing; volunteers need to come forward. Two appeals is well and truly sufficient, if there aren't enough volunteers, the event gets cancelled.

Ok. Seems like a missed opportunity tbh. Does no-one on the team use social media that you could have asked? All of my local parkruns send out FB posts every week. They seem to recruit loads of people that way. Anyway, best of luck for future weeks.

Shouldn't need to chase around. If people are sore about it they can volunteer for another weekend. Not everyone uses social media - many people less and less now.
