Just looking at the website, I can't work out exactly what the route is, but it definitely has the killer hill. I think I'd struggle to get there for 9, and I live pretty much around the corner ;) Hope you enjoy, and have a great birthday!

Peel Parkrun is flat and only a tiny section on grass. They usually have loos open in one of the university buildings as well.

Just be careful with the Asda at Philips, I got a parking ticket for being there from 8.30am until 10.30am. Not parkrun’s fault but still annoying.

Alt course at Delamere this morning, which was a surprise to both the event team and the participants apparently! The RD turned up and discovered the Forestry work was too impactful on the course (despite FC Comms apparently) soade the quick decision to alter things. And tbh you'd never have known that this wasn't their standard venue / course.

Good fun, twice up the big hill and a bit of a treacherous descent for those of us in slippy road shoes, but the usual excellently appropriate approach to risk management from this team; no need for surplus marshals, sensible warnings at the start recognising that the participants are all sensible enough to make appropriate judgements etc.

Course about 10%-15% slower than normal probably, and lots of fun had by most I think (a few grumbles from people who had turned up expecting the normal course for good reasons such as having buggies, dogs etc). So many event teams would probably have cancelled I think in those circumstances, so fair play to the team for going the extra mile as usual.

A respectable sub-21 for me on the hilly Skipton course, a few seconds faster than last year and quite acceptable for this time of year. Enjoyed the day out, will try to fit in a few more this winter.

Phillips parkrun done in perfect conditions. Yes there is a hill but still not as steep as Stonehaven but it is longer

Alternative course for us too as there was a crime scene on the course. Event team were brilliant. It was somewhat long but most people were happy that it went ahead at all.
