We’re going to be doing Fell Foot next weekend. Any suggestions as to what shoes to wear please? Is it a trail or fell shoe job basically?

What’s the score with Belfast Victoria Parkrun? 15.59 yesterday was only good enough for 13th place😂

I think the no publicity rule is easily exaggerated. Obviously there has to be some local awareness or there’d be nobody at all at the inaugural, possibly even a shortage of volunteers depending on the size of the core team. Not widely promoting the event doesn’t mean nobody at all locally knows about it.

DT - Trail shoes rather than fell for Fell Foot. In fact, if it doesn't rain much in the next week you may even get away with roads - we're now on our winter course which uses all the paths in the park to protect the grass. This means fours laps - each with three dead turns and quite a lot of two way traffic in narrower places than is ideal. Because of that, we have to say no dogs please (think I've picked up somewhere you have a dog but I don't know if you planned to run with said canine). If you make it, please come find me - I'll be setting up before the start and hanging around with some of the core team after the run and in the cafe. I'll aim to wear something Fetch branded to aid identification. |

Enjoy fell foot, lovely route. I did it in roads and was ok, but it had been dry and I will do anything to avoid trail shoes!

I am tempted to try Banstead Woods next week… I’m in wimbledon, so not far, but i have not been there yet. Any experiences with it? I read it has some real elevation and hopefully it does not get too muddy. Plus it comes with the additional bonus of one additional tick on the Time Trials achievement ![]() |

As predicted, no Xmas day parkrun at Exmouth. In fact most of the area has already said no, with Exeter, Cranbrook and Seaton still to declare. I'll probably do a not parkrun along the seafront then |
