I'm in for this week - I'll probably be doing the "Lap Around Millwall Dock parkrun" again.

We’ll probably be out somewhere for something between three and a dozen miles

Between 3 and a dozen sounds good. I ran 13.1 last weekend without really needing to because of some virtual racing nonsense, and I've upped the mileage a bit too hard this week, so a gentle little one will be nice.
If I can do 12, I can run through the Country Park, but I've deliberately avoided the Country Park on a Saturday as I don't think it sets a great precedent if the ED is running a "parkrun".

The beach is slightly more than 5 miles from my house so haven’t been near my parkrun either. I could do a run at the beach during the week straight from work as that would make it nearer

Baz - I know that there are a lot of 'parkrunners' who feel the same as me in that we won't be rushing out to the first few events. Personally I don't see any need to mix it with a large number of runners however, I do hope to be able to enjoy social runs with a few of our core team and regulars, as well as more controlled competitive club/running groups and our weekly Sunday 5k/10k once we reach the point where 20 people can gather.
Not that easy to adhere to the parkrun HQ message about not arranging to run at parkrun locations given that many of our core team and regulars live on the route - the path literally passing their front door and in the case of our Sunday group, we had been holding 5k/10k events at the venue several years before a parkrun was set up there. albeit we are able to use a full 5k loop whilst parkrun run up and down a small section of the path several times to avoid crossing the car park access road.

I used to run quite a bit a few years ago, but work and travel got in the way and I developed a bit of a gut, as you do... The lockdown has been the best thing for me as I just work from home and don't go anywhere any more and got back into running and biking to stop myself going mad. Looking forward to doing the virtual parkrun tomorrow, though it won't be very fast!

Welcome azx. Doing it is what matters, don’t worry about your time.
