The 29th will be my 100th :)
It'll be a nice to have and I've made the effort to run every week since Christmas to get there but if I'd had to miss one or we'd had a cancellation due to the weather I'd have just shrugged - it's fun to get but not important.

After that and as marathon long runs get longer I'll probably volunteer a few times instead of running

MN - Sorry to hear about the stress fracture.

At Harrogate a few years ago a friend walked parkrun on crutches a few weeks on the trot while recovering from a hernia op - he did around 39 minutes which I have to say I was super impressed by.

Ouch, MN :-(

I've volunteered to tail walk at Beacon parkrun. It's been cancelled the last couple of weeks so I hope event #5 takes place :-)

I'm doing my first ever first timers briefing at Jesmond Dene this weekend. Bit nervous about it and have been rehearsing in my head last thing at night!

After I've got that out the way I think I'll be quite happy trudging up the hills on the course :D

Don't be nervous, you'll be fine...

If you make a mistake, no one will notice - they're first timers!

Whatever crap jokes you crack will make folk laugh, so if you're unsure just say something remotely witty.

FreshStart - I was staying near Beacon park visiting relatives last weekend and that had been my original plan but diverted to Walsall in the end. Hope to make Beacon next time I'm down that way.
