As much as I'd love an electric car, the infrastructure for it isnt good enough in my area. Could probably get a hybrid. Also dont think I'd go for a mini though.

No issues with parkrun being sponsored by them at all though. Regardless of the lifestyle and ethos parkrun promotes, the funding then allows them provide more runs/services to more people.

Our little Kia Hybrid is feeling slightly left out. Although we now try to run/use public transport to get to a parkrun, Little Kia has served us well in the past and now all this colluding with a mini rival is disheartening.

Infrastructure is fine for me. We share a car for predominantly local mileage in a not very sprawling town. And in most circumstances a long day out would find me in Lincoln or Hull, which could manage a return journey on the sort of range that's offering, although a trip to Ikea in Sheffield might be a bit more iffy (and probably thoroughly impractical in a MINI anyway)

It's the three of four times annually trip to Kent, or the annual holiday to the Netherlands that's a bit more of a pain, especially on the quoted range of the MINI, because that's a three stopper on a journey that only takes four hours normally.

Anyway, I've taken this thread miles off topic, and I'll have to find somewhere to plug in before I can bring it back ;-)

BMW not a mini - Stolen heritage - not a mini

parkrun selling its soul just like John Coopers son did - not a mini

Money talks as always

Will it change anything for me with parkrun?

No, I'm not a regular anymore and if it was coming to my local event I would just take another week off.

Did I mention it was a BMW using stolen heritage to sell a front wheel drive car that is not British or Mini ?
