I've never actually fallen over a dog, despite their owner's best efforts to make sure that their sacred parkrun time is not affected by silly "rules" that suggest that they start at the back etc. But I will some day.

But my pet-peev (or is that perv?) is the damned noise they make at briefing time. I was 5m from the RD at the weekend and couldn't hear a word the RD said with their loudhailer because two dogs were yelling nonsense at each other whilst their owners prepared to dive right into the middle of the pack with their extendable leads.

Dog runners at the back is a silly rule larks, same as buggies.

If people are 16 17 or 18 ex with a dog that does 5mm off the line let them start at the front.

Same with people with buggies Martin Yelling was running 17.xx pushing a buggy a mate of mine was running 18s.

Common sense is better that excessive regulation

Ps. I know Dog runners who stopped coming because of the non inclusive nature and being made to feel unwelcome

Our winter emergency route is in a park with a no dogs rule (children's playpark). People still turn up with their dogs, and haven't been pulled up on it.............

Only my opinion but parkrun should be inclusive to all 2 legged people not 4 legged pets. You can walk/run with your dog anytime - in amongst 600 runners is not that time!

I would love it if people started in a place appropriate with their finish! As a pusher of a double buggy, and often starting near the back, because that's the only place I can get on the path, I have to pass a LOT of people, which is no mean feat (and I am not that fast - about 28-30 minutes, I reckon). Even when I start in an appropriate spot, there are people walking or dawdling in the first 500m...people who would be much more appropriate to start further back in the field, but for some reason don't. I often spend a LOT of my run calling out "Excuse me please, double buggy on your right"...and then getting pissed off when someone in the MIDDLE of the path ignores me because they have headphones in.

So I always thought it was for runners Jovi but I am the DEVIL for thinking walkers can go for a bloody walk at any point, at least with a dog they are running

(obviously if they are walking with a dog a life ban is needed) :¬)

Wine legs - no kidding, nothing more fun that being wiped out by a 7 year old who thinks he is Usain Bolt and stands on the front then shits himself and swerves sideways to get out the way or not.....

Small children when it's crowded are indeed a big hazard
