Records today also at Lancaster (391) and Barrow (242) - we (Fell Foot) were down on NYD but still almost double the pre-Christmas numbers. The need for patience lapping people in the narrow bits is my excuse for a relatively weak personal showing.
Looks like there's been an overall national record today too - over 164,000

Hope you enjoyed it Goofee. Good atmosphere. Volunteers were great at both. Will be back at Dinton next time I am with the relatives. Lovely place for a run.

Most definitely in "notarace" mode today, larkim
West Central Scotland saw record turnouts today at Strathclyde (+24% !), Linwood and Eglinton; second highest at Victoria, only behind NYD. A couple others in top ten highest - and some nowhere near, which given afaik reasonable if cold weather all over is maybe odder.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Inverness has had it's 3 biggest turnouts in the last week, other than the artificial bulge produced by the Loch Ness Marathon. The people of Elgin have not been quite as keen.
I can report that the JM 11-14 who finished first by over a minute was certainly racing eyeballs out despite the lack of competition from the older folks. I was progressing at a more serene pace.
