I do think it's important that you get to see the existing review when adding your own. The whole point of a wiki is surely to build on the efforts of others, not just replace...

It's not linked to the Wiki, other than taking its inspiration entirely from it. My goal is to provide an automatic version of it, where multiple people can submit their reviews of a parkrun (without any of the overwriting issues we'd seen when the Wiki article got very busy), and where we can add extra stuff to a template, like loo info etc. My page is a result of an hour or two of coding on Friday, so it needs properly fleshing out, to allow people to read others' reviews, look further afield, and integrating it into the race listings.

OK that's explained it thanks - I just wasn't sure if the reviews I'd already added to the wiki were going to become part of the new page in some way, or if I'd need to add them again.

As a starter Fetch, you could copy across all the hundreds of descriptions that folk have put in already in the Wiki, across to your new parkrun-a-base ? GG

O Tannenbaum TomahawkMike
The newbie I encouraged along to parkrun (age group is 60-64) came in at 46mins something. He can't run but is very happy walking fast. He will be back to shave some seconds off hopefully next week. It was beer talk that led to this. I think we also agreed to doing Stormont parkrun (I had been telling him of a recent weekday visit to Belfast which as usual I enjoyed). I think I will wait for him to remember that bit of the conversation as I had already promised to do the same with my wife in a more romantic arrangement (still to include the parkrun of course)

Missed the start yesterday by 2 mins but ran through the field to 8th then did another effort.
Cracking 10 miles. Dudley is a strange course with 1.6k being on a track but the rest is canal tow path and a challenging offroad descent and climb.
Seems to be becoming my local event

4 laps of a track? Would you not be lapping folk pretty early on in that?

Fleecy and I are doing Guildford followed by Denbies on NYD, if anyone's around.
Dinton will have to wait for another day.
