My local parkruns seem to go for a board with hooks and elastic bands. Ten tokens per hook, 10 hooks in a row, large elastic band round the board keeping them in place until required.

That's a great idea if you've got the space to store the board.

We've a variation on the knitting holders, we use very big kilt pins which hold something like 50 tokens, and then they are loaded onto a wire hoop in the correct order. We also have 2 people - one to hand out, one to hold the tokens and hand over batches to the giver-outerer. One of our original parkrunners, a great Polish chap who used to turn up regularly dressed as a cowboy, made us a very heavy-duty wire holder but as we increased in numbers it just got too heavy to hold so the finer wire (a bit like a coat hanger bent out of shape) came into play.
Our cowboy returned to Poland a few years ago, but we see on FB that he's still keen on running parkrun there, dressed in sometimes unusual fancy dress. The core team here still giggles over the time he arrived as some sort of knight, with a plastic sword stuck down his shorts. The handle of the sword protruding from his shorts was a sight to behold

We have a little spare parts / fishing bait box, with little bundles of 30 tokens in each slot, wrapped in an elastic band. And just to keep things moving, we have one person handing out, and another person preparing the next batch.

We just have ours on a very thick piece of wire, they are transferred to a shorter bit of wire as needed for handing out. Elastic band round each bundle (of 50?) to make the transferring easier and a cork on the end of the wire to stop them coming off in storage.

Like WM said and 3 people on finish tokens, 2 handing out and the other taking the elastic bands off and passing them over, or all 3 taking it in turns handing their 10 out.

The Contra website is live.
First thoughts - cheaper prices than I was expecting. Annoying to see that the size guide for the women’s clothes gives dress size rather than measurements in cm or inches.
The photos of the women’s tops look like they are straight up and down rather than going in at the waist and out at the hips. I HATE tops that are tight on my hips. The tank especially looks like it’s going to be tight at the hips as it appears to be wider at the bust.
I’ll wait to see reviews before I buy anything.

Re Contra: I don't mind supporting this when I need gear but I have more tops than I can justify so will await shorts...
