Back 'home' to RD at Fell Foot this morning - I think we have a local primary school turning up en masse to complete some sort of challenge (obviously the 5k run/walk is the end of it but I don't think the totality) - so long as they bring cake, should be great

Dame Kelly Holmes was at Cardiff and was asked to address the crown which she did very entertainingly, she pointed out that even if you outsprinted her at the finish you don't get to have her medals. Having said that based on the ease at which she moved through the field in the first mile I think only James Thie's Cardiff AAC group were in contention to do this.

A couple of big political names ran at parkrun this morning in Australia. Julie Bishop (foreign minister) and Bill Shorten (leader of the opposition).

stevenage narrowly avoided a last minute cancellation when the RD for got to put the stop watches and scanners in his car.....a mercy dash go them to the start line and the parkrun went ahead just 5 mins late

we were on the verge of finding out! several of us were down loading it ready and it had been used successfully at the junior parkrun

T_S, I was volunteering near the finish today, and she looked very comfortable as she came in. Knew she had finished in the top 20 as it was still at the stage where I’d been able to keep track of numbers, have just checked the results and saw she ran 18:45.

I was at Lochore today too. My 28th different course and def one of the most stunning courses I’ve done.
