The cake thing isn't a thing at Delamere. I can't remember anyone bringing a cake to celebrate their own milestone, though they do make a fuss at the event anniversary.
Is the cake thing a standard elsewhere?

To be fair, I've run Delamere and (apart from being a great course) it does have a top notch cafe!
Cake for milestones is normal at Hanley - but we have a volunteer led cafe in the local church.
