Bournemouth was a bit slippy underfoot due to the frost.

On my final lap I passed a guy running with his son who didn't seem to want to be there when the dad said he would have to sprint ahead soon to catch other son to finish with him. As he started to come past me I reminded him that if his other son was under 11 he should be running with him for the whole 5K not just for the finish. To which he replied "but I can see him". If I see him doing this again I will inform the core team.

I was RD and did a 7am solo recce of Hazlehead route found a lovely soft deep snow for our parkrun.

Got a bit slippy once 100 runners had gone out n back like!

But everyone was happy and no incidents

Seaton had to amend their course very slightly as the 180* turn at the end of the esplanade was covered in ice but they compensated for the lost distance by pushing the finish line back - so we had longer to 'sprint' on the pebbles at the end!

Last week we had to cancel for the first time due to icy paths. Today the ice was confined to our hill so we did a 4 lap low level route for the first time and 10 of us ran. I enjoyed running in the snow but I missed the hill:

Numbers down at Fell Foot too - had to break the ice on a couple of lakeside puddles but otherwise perfect underfoot. Weather wasn't bad either :)

400 had to wait. Stratford was cancelled, too late to change location. Very frustrating, I had encouraged lots to turn up. That's the way it goes sometimes.😥

parkrun is just fab. Yesterday after doing Highbury Fields I went for the post run coffee unfortunately hardly anyone else there however as a result the two of us (me celebrating my 10 year parkrun anniversary & a lady visiting fron Oz who was doing her first parkrun outside of Oz having just landed from Brisbane the night before for a few days in London before going to stay wih family. We grabbed a table together & started chatting all things parkrun & running an hour later I'd made a new friend & we'd swapped numbers & she joined my friends & I later that evening at the gig we were visiting London for. A brilliant morning.

Was absolutely baltically cold at Highbury Fields but thankfully no ice.
